Upright meaning
A motionless figure lies with ten swords in their back as the horizon begins to brighten. The extreme image expresses an ending that cannot continue in its previous form: exhaustion, betrayal, or a failed way of understanding events. Dawn hints that life exists after this moment without erasing the present pain.
Reversed keywords
Resisting an ending · beginning recovery · a crisis not yet over
Reversed meaning
Some readings emphasize rising after the low point; others emphasize pain prolonged by resistance. The surrounding cards and real circumstances determine which reading fits.
