“Once again, simply being alive feels exhausting.”
You wake up, but you don't want to get out of bed. Nothing seems worth looking forward to. The things that once mattered no longer feel important, and even the smallest tasks seem impossibly heavy.
Maybe you've been feeling this way for a few days. Maybe it's been years.
I won't tell you to think positively or remind you how beautiful life can be. Those words sound so hollow right now. I have my own difficulties, and there are days when I can barely get through them myself.
If you have absolutely no energy left, don't force yourself to do anything.
Lie in bed and scroll through TikTok if that's all you feel like doing. Eat when you're hungry. Drink when you're thirsty. Sleep if you need to.
The day will pass anyway.
You don't have to solve every problem in your life while your head is still a mess. Leave those decisions for when you can think more clearly.
And if getting through today is all you manage, that's already an accomplishment.
Nothing stays exactly the same forever. Even if you've been feeling miserable for years, you can't know for certain that you'll feel this way for the rest of your life.
Even mountains move, and they're enormous. So why should your life stay the same?
When you have a little energy again, find something interesting to do.
Is there anything you've wanted to try since you were a child but never had the chance? Something you were curious about before life got in the way?
It doesn't have to be useful or make you money. You don't even have to be good at it.
Just give it a try.
Getting absorbed in something you enjoy gives you a break from everything that's been weighing you down. For a while, life feels a little less empty.
And who knows? That interest could eventually lead you somewhere you never expected.
I'm not saying that finding a hobby will solve all your problems. But doing something different gives you a chance to experience something different.
Think of it like planting a seed.
You don't know whether it will grow. But if you never plant anything, you can't expect the garden you want to appear on its own.
There's nothing shameful about talking about how you feel.
But be careful whom you trust.
I've made the mistake of telling personal things to the wrong people before. These days, I pay attention to someone's character before deciding what to share. I want someone who can listen, respect my privacy, and keep a secret.
Even then, I don't tell them everything.
Sometimes, I simply talk about how I'm feeling and what's been making life difficult. They don't need to know every detail of what happened to understand that I'm having a hard time.
And if you don't have anyone you feel comfortable talking to?
Write it down. Fill a piece of paper with everything you've been holding in. Keep it, tear it up, or write a letter you never intend to send.
You could post on an anonymous forum, too. Just be careful not to reveal personal information that might come back to haunt you.
Or do something a little ridiculous. Sing terribly, dance around your room, or make up stupid lyrics to your favorite song.
As long as you're not hurting yourself or anyone else, why not?
You don't have to explain every emotion. Sometimes, you just need to get it out of your system.
Tomorrow Is Still Unwritten
Maybe you're thinking that you've already lost too much.
You're getting older. You don't have enough money. You've missed opportunities that you'll never get back.
I understand why you feel that way.
But here's the thing: you have no idea what will happen in the future.
A new person, an unexpected interest, or even one small decision can take your life in a completely different direction.
None of those things is guaranteed.
But neither is the idea that your life will remain exactly as it is today.
You don't have to rebuild everything at once. Start with something small when you're ready. See where it takes you.
And if you're still too exhausted to think about any of that, go get some rest.
Maybe an idea will come to you in a few days.
As long as you're alive, there's still a chance to change your life.
